A concert of My Sleeping Karma is a special event. It radiates a physically perceptible energy, the hypnotic power of the tracks is immense. It's been that way for ten years and five studio albums. Ten years of My Sleeping Karma - that's what the people of Aschaffenburg are celebrating with their first live recording, which was recorded in February 2016 during the "Up In Smoke" tour.

That could be something for Kate, too. After all, it's the new solo album by Something-For-Kate frontman Paul Dempsey. After listening for the first time, you can't make too much of a difference to SFK. Dempsey's solo works are less crashing and post-grunge heavy, but more folky, but the result is no less intense and passionate.
Das könnte auch was für Kate sein. Schließlich ist es das neue Soloalbum des Something-For-Kate-Frontmannes Paul Dempsey. Nach dem ersten Hören kann man keinen allzu großen Unterschied zu SFK ausmachen. Es geht bei Dempseys Solowerken zwar weniger krachend und Post-Grunge-lastig, dafür eher folkig zu, doch das Ergebnis ist nicht minder intensiv und leidenschaftlich.

"La Grande Bellezza" indulges so wonderfully in the cosmic music as it was created in this country at the end of the 60s / beginning of the 70s: Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream (at legendary "Phaedra"-/"breath"-times), Cluster and Harmonia send their greetings. At the same time Sounds Of New Soma are clearly structured on their third album, transparent in their sound and firmly rooted in the 21st century.
Hach, ist das herrlich. „La Grande Bellezza“ schwelgt so wunderbar in der kosmischen Musik, wie sie hierzulande Ende der 60er/Anfang der 70er erschaffen wurde: Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream (zu legendären „Phaedra“-/„Atem“-Zeiten), Cluster und Harmonia lassen grüßen. Zugleich sind Sounds Of New Soma auf ihrem dritten Album klar strukturiert, transparent in ihrem Klangbild und somit fest im 21. Jahrhundert verwurzelt.
