SHAMALL spürt den ökologischen Inkonsistenzen unseres Tuns nach

Norbert Krüler alias Shamall had accumulated enough trouble besides creative abundance to present mankind with a new double CD concept album. On "Schizophrenia" he deals with all kinds of self-torture: "The whole album is about this socio-political, but also everyday schizophrenia. Actually, we all know exactly what one should do, but then we are masters in looking away and not doing it. When it comes to environmental protection, just take plastic waste as an example. Where did all those yellow bags come from? Or people who regret that our generation has failed in this task, but then just book a cruise. All these incredible contradictions. None of us are angels. And yet, so much could be accomplished in small ways. That's why the theme song says, "I'm walking down the street. I know what's wrong, but I'm not doing anything. I'm not even turning around.'"

The lack of self-renunciation and carelessness in one's own actions would be diametrically opposed to the insight of being the cause of global warming and the extinction of species: "The turbo-dusting of the earth cannot continue after all, but our politicians are too discouraged Greta considers Shamall to be an "important leading figure and a really honest skin", but not everyone who has participated in demos such as "Fridays for Future" is aware of the need to cut back on consumption

Also musically Shamall has put himself on "Schizophrenia" particularly into the stuff. So this time he sings higher than usual. Is the high wailing tone appropriate to the theme or just coincidence? "No, I have always considered my singing to be in need of improvement and now I have taken a liking to the key of F, which was a new challenge for me." So much so that later, when it reminded him too much of a "lecture" himself, he added a whole series of instrumental pieces to balance the whole thing
