When you put on this record by the Czech songwriter Marketa Irglova, you first think of Enigma, Enya or the novel "The Name of the Rose", whether you think of the monk's choirs, the sacred atmosphere or the beating bells. But what follows with "Time Immemorial" is of a completely different kind. A piano sounds that sounds heavily like Tori Amos, and Irglova's voice also approaches the same here. This is joined by a multifaceted, incredibly harmonic choir, as it has not been used since the hippies of the seventies. The unvarnished beautiful sound ensnares you so much that it takes you on a journey with it. Violin and percussion provide drama. The Leading Bird" is also etherically knitted with sparkling piano, glockenspiel and strings. "Fortune Teller" conquers percussive terrain and Far Eastern sound decoration with its rhythmic clapping of hands. With "Without A Map", the offset background voices create a kind of floating state. The sung "Vater-Unser" is perfectly set, far away from any kitsch. Exciting sound experiences between Tori Amos, Kate Bush and I Am The Morning.
