Marco Minnemann, who is currently responsible for the drum parts with Joe Satriani and Steven Wilson, regularly ensures open mouths with fans and representatives of the trade press with his stupendous skills not only on a national but also on an international level. Nevertheless, the 43-year-old regularly goes on solo trips in order to exploit his full potential. This is exactly what he does on his new (mostly instrumental) album "Eeps", for which he not only wrote all the pieces, but also recorded all the instruments. It goes without saying that the production was also his responsibility. Although the introduction with "Cheap As F**k And Awesome As Hell" is unfavorably chosen (a lot of frizzing, little composition), the thing looks better afterwards. Minnemann's idol Frank Zappa would have enjoyed "OC DC". And with the title track (full of strange noises), the exciting "Live Ghost" and the parforce ride "Sushi Cat Doll" the multi-talent reveals his true qualities. "EEPS" may not be a coherent album, but it's full of ideas.
