Guitarist and singer Otis Rush certainly had his most creative time in the mid fifties to mid sixties. So a compilation with 26 tracks and the subtitle "The 1956-1962 Cobra, Chess & Duke Sides" is more than welcome. Here you'll find original compositions and versions of songs that British bluesers took as a steep template. The classics "All Your Love (I Miss Your Loving)" and "Double Trouble" were arranged by John Mayall with Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin tore "I Can't Quit You Baby" under the nail and "Three Times A Fool" belongs to the repertoire of many blues combos. Although the sound is not always first class, this is more than compensated by the intense music. The CD also contains a 16-page booklet with many photos and liner notes by Gary Blailock. Essential.
