More than four years have gone by since "A Time Of Shadow" - Dead Heroes Club's second album, which seemed to be a big promise for the band's future actions. Now the Northern Irish are trying to continue right there. As usual, the production sounds a little unpolished. But this sets the club apart from many other prog bands - besides the very distinctive voice of singer Liam Campbell. Also DHC are audibly influenced by bands like Marillion, but do their own thing that reconciles retrosound and neoprog. The catchy opener "The Hunger" is a strong introduction. After that, "Truth" will be the first album in which the listener will be gripped into the emotional box, before "Machine In The Garden" and "We Breathe Together" will be the first to challenge the listener. The highlight is the elegiac, atmospheric and dense "Watching And Waiting Man", which finally breaks new ground in what constitutes good Neoprog and this band, which moves continuously on a high level. However, the feeling remains that DHC could go through the ceiling if they only dared a little more and went even more forward. So the power of the predecessor is unfortunately only adjusted.
