At the latest since "Still Frame Replay" (2011) and the concert tours following this album, multi-instrumentalist Henrik Freischlader and his band have set a bright red flag on the international blues rock map. "Night Train To Budapest" is now placed right next to it, because it offers again the complete program from solid bluesrock, which can be funky like the opener "Point Of View", up to soul-soaked ("Thinking About You") or fine Americana ballads ("Caroline"). The Wuppertal man crosses genre boundaries without losing face. This is not only the case since "Night Train To Budapest", but on this album he adds some interesting nuances. Only the organist Moritz Fuhrhop from Henrik's live band is part of it, because Freischlader is a master of guitar, bass and drums. He has long since established himself as a singer anyway. Outstanding song beside the great opener is "Down The Road", where Freischlader reminds of the deceased Jeff Healey.
