Ben Chatwin alias Talvihorros presents himself on his fifth opus less guitar-heavy than usual. The encounter with Daniel Crossley, the founder of Fluid Radio, triggered something very special in the musician. Together they visited the darkest corners of East London, where both had spent many years of their youth. These undertakings formed the atmospheric basis of "Eaten Alive", which is more ambient, but also more gloomy than its predecessors. Melodious piano parts and noises on the border to the industrial era now dominate the scene. The tracks consist less of abstract background noises than of underscoring soundscapes from no man's land. With its acoustic guitar "Four Walls" is almost a bit too bright for this concept, the impressive "The Secrets Of The Sky" scars hard past the border to minimal music. And then there are very effectively used noise guitars, which increase the tension to the immeasurable and lift "Eaten Alive" to the level of a work of art.
