"Dream a little bigger", the Brits sing in "Fresh Start Fever", and you would really wish that for them, because with their fourth album they are unfortunately moving all too directly in the direction of pleasing mainstream unity. Here a little Linking Park ("Room To Breathe"), there a Volbeat-Rockboard, but with softer vocals ("Lived A Lie"), and a smooth, audacious Thirty-Seconds-To-Mars-Copy right at the start and a U2-Clone as a bouncer - that sounds all too calculated. But the concept works: Three times it could be gilded and the band plays in arenas, not small shops. The five musicians are still so young that one can only hope for them that they will (re)discover their wild side. Fortunately, a few pieces and passages elude direct comparison ("Win Some, Lose Some", "Be Who You Are") and reveal a remainder of non-conformity.
