Fortunately, quality still sometimes prevails these days. In the Netherlands, for example, where the songwriting of Johannes Sigmond alias Blaudzun (a tribute to the Danish cyclist of the same name and world champion in the 1966 team time trial) is very popular. His club tours in the neighbouring country and in Belgium are sold out, the previous album "Heavy Flowers" has been in the Dutch charts for seventy weeks. On the current album, which will be released in Germany on 7 March, Indierock is waiting for the listener in the spirit of Arcade Fire. Blaudzun has in common with the Canadian troupe above all the voice and the drama of the song structure. Sigmond also likes to use a multi-headed orchestra: up to nine musicians in total to realize his musical visions on record and on stage. A little dark, enchantingly obscure and very melodious the tracks get stuck in the ear canal.
