To find new inspiration, Switchfoot Californians have traveled around the world doing what they love to do best: surfing and creating music. Studioalbum number ten presents itself accordingly with romantic surf cliché photos like old VW bus with musicians and surfboards on the roof in the back light or five cool figures on the beach. But you can hear mostly slightly overloaded Mainstream-Radiopoprock. Hand clapping, children's choir, glockenspiel, here and there a mostly monosyllabic "And now all!" Miting chorus, Diskofox compatibility - everything is on board and waiting for euphoric fans in large halls and arenas. Pieces like "Let It Out" or "Saltwater Heart" are so poppy and sugar-sweet that they would be almost unpalatable without a few rough counter drafts like "Say It Like You Mean It" or "BA55" and Jon Foreman's rough voice. The lyrics tear a lot out of it. They are intelligent and thoughtful, which clearly distinguishes them from the average pop song.
