Sleepmakeswaves from Sydney are slowly but surely opening up to a wider audience. Her debut work last year was "And So We Destroyed Everything..." (2011) by the English label Monotreme. With the re-release of the EP "In Today Already Walks Tomorrow", released in 2007, the beginnings of the Aussies have been shed light. The six pieces, which have a total duration of 37 minutes, make it clear that the quartet, reinforced by a guest violinist, had found its own style early on, in which wide-screen sounds and airy arrangements perfectly complemented each other. "One Day You Will Teach Me To Let Go Of My Fears" helped the band to their first success. Even Rush fans might feel attracted by this excellently produced record, because "So That The Children Will Always Shout Her Name" has clear parallels to "Red Barchetta". A re-release that friends of sophisticated and atmospheric instrumental rock should not miss.
