Krautrock lives and continues to produce exciting flowers. One of them is the project Ziguri, which presents its debut work 27 years after its foundation. Behind it are drummer/lead singer Dieter Kölsch, bassist Udo Erdenreich and guitarist Günter Schickert, who released the psychedelic cult albums "Samtvogel" and "Überfällig" in the seventies. The Berlin trio has known each other since the early eighties, gave concerts between 1987 and 1997 mainly in squatted houses and at street festivals and continued as a theatre project after the band split until 2002, before finally going their separate ways. In 2011 we decided to try it together again. The result is this album: classic Krautrock à la Amon Düül II or New!, in which ambient influences like Harmonia seep into the overall picture. This is mainly due to Schickert's shimmering, floating, incomparable Echodrive guitar, which takes you with its hypnotic monotony to other spheres. But out of them, unfortunately, a grinning singing gets out again and again.
