They stand like no other band for grunge. This may be because, in contrast to Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden or Nirvana, they only enjoyed great success for a short time in the nineties. So the band from Seattle never lost their street credibility. It was almost always a trace next to the mass taste. Even "Vanishing Point", her first studio album since "The Lucky Ones" from 2008, lives from this non-conformity. It still sounds square and angular, although the blues rock aspect, which used to be barely audible due to the band's lack of instrumental skills, is now very clear. So you can see Jimi Hendrix's "Crosstown Traffic" at "I Don't Remember You". The troupe, which still acts in the original line-up, has now collectively loosely crossed the age mark of 50. But their sound still lives primarily from the rebellious youthful punk sound. In addition, there is a good social, sometimes cynical power of observation, which leads vocalist Mark Arm to detailed lyrics.
