The Ocean 2010 impressively added two high-quality albums to their discography: "Heliocentric" and "Anthropocentric". In 2013 the Berlinerisch-Schweizerische Musikerkollektiv returns with an epochal double album, the second CD containing the instrumental version of the actual album. When the nerdy of prog and the scientific ingenuity of bandleader Robin Staps meet, we can only speak of the highest quality. The conceptual sea journey continues with the eighth long player and 53 minutes of playing time. This time the musicians focus on the deep zones of the oceans and dedicate themselves to the five pelagic layers. You don't have to be an expert in oceanography to reach for "Pelagial". Background information makes the listening experience noticeably more intensive and comprehensible. Because when soft piano sounds and string interludes and when cathartic outbursts are used has to do with the respective theme. With "Pelagial", The Ocean have once again ingeniously proven their exceptional status as "prog concept artists".
