Sabine Edelsbacher is the face and voice of Edenbridge. But guitarist and keyboarder Lavall writes all the songs, produces the whole thing and also delivers the opulent orchestral arrangements. The new work of the symphonic melodic-metallers offers little development compared to their previous albums. The differences are more likely to be found in the details. Especially the classic looking passages are much more transparent and less kitschy this time. Unfortunately the ballad "Star-Crossed Dreamer" is completely wrong. She's drifting too far towards the pop and shallow musical. Only Sabine's expressive voice saves the song from absolute disaster. That Edenbridge have style and class is proven by the 15-minute title track that ends the album. Here the Austrians once again give their all: heaviest, metallic guitars meet voluminous choirs and orchestral passages. Eric Martensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.) is also a guest singer here. This is at least one big movie in the end.
