The Finnish singer-songwriter Astrid Swan is back, and she has her fourth album in her luggage, which leans a bit out of the window with its title. Because legendary albums like "Scott 4", Black Sabbath's "Vol. 4" or "Led Zeppelin IV" immediately come to mind. Is the fourth album also something special in Astrid Swan's case? Not necessarily, because the Finn doesn't deny new paths, except maybe that she has become a little more gentle and doesn't act as exalted as on the previous records. Most of the pieces are balladesque, but their fine arrangements sometimes remind us of Asian harmonies ("Nature Calling") or, very often, of the young Kate Bush. So the album slowly but surely leveled off at a midtempo level, which is basically nothing to complain about, but which in the end seems a bit uniform. With all the undeniable quality of songwriting.
