Since "Rest In Pieces" isn't marked as an EP, you might think that with only seven songs at first there might be one or the other longtrack that the band from Sweden might have hidden here. Unfortunately, this isn't the case, strangely enough The Culture In Memoriam actually only recorded seven short pieces, which are also of clearly fluctuating quality. Partly they offer a true firework of psychedelic ideas, partly however also quite unfermented to chaotic. They master the keyboard of Weirdopopop quite well and pump so many different ideas into each song that you don't know where to listen first. On the other hand, the songs unfortunately fall a bit by the wayside. They sound partially too overloaded. However, The Culture In Memoriam prove that they still master the high art of beatlesque songwriting with the fantastic "Vanilla Wreck", which more than compensates for the over-candidate and overstraining in the other songs.
