Andreas Pettersson took his time for his De Arma debut. In 2009, the Swede, who is otherwise at home in institutions such as Armagedda and Lönndome Fame, founded his new band with singer Frank Allain from Fen and drummer Johan Marklund, with whom he remains essentially true to metal but tends more towards rock. But when metal gains the upper hand, it is really unleashed. Songs like "Left To Hide" and "Wretch" come with brutal screams. The "Behind These Filthy Panes", which starts as a high-speed attack, even tends unmistakably towards nasty Black Metal. In the other phases, which dominate on "Lost, Alien & Forlon", the trio has dedicated themselves to highly atmospheric rock, which also often offers wave elements à la The Mission thanks to sparkling guitars. However, the vocals, which seem to be meaningless and without motivation in their clean moments, are not quite convincing. One thing De Arma still has work to do. Also "Lost, Alien & Forlon" still seems a little unfermented.
