What's up, man? A lot. Anyway, the Hot Head Show on "Perfect" has a lot going on. The three Londoners are on the ultimate trip here, combining all the stylistic elements that have not managed to be on the tree with three. Despite all the cross-references, "Perfect" looks homogeneous and as if it has been hewn out of one piece. If New Artpunk didn't exist until today - here it is now. The Hot Head Show is crazy. And the three guys also start off crazy with "Kansas", a piece of progressive punk, that demands some dexterity from the protagonists like Yes, but is still punk in the end. More is possible with "Bang Now", a gem that combines mathrock and ska. Daring. And brave! And as if that wasn't enough, "Some Money" bundles the metallic energy of System Of A Down and the Weirdo rock of Primus. The latter were accompanied on their reunion tour, by the way. It makes you realize a lot of things. Or again not, since the Hot Head Show gallantly defies all attempts at classification.
