The Kat is a new blues singer from France who has already produced an excellent album with her debut. The lady has a voluminous voice that sounds full of feeling, but not as rough as a rock tube. Shuffle ("I'm A Woman"), cool blues rock ("The Trains"), soul blues with a hard blower ("A Woman Does") and jazz blues ("Licorice & Whiskey") show their passion and feeling, but leave enough room for solos for their fellow musicians. Even if a pop-oriented number appears in the program ("Lipstick & Tears"), this does not disturb the overall impression. Because already directly after it the lady "bluesrockt" again properly. I'm sure this cat will be heard from for even longer.
