Together with the former Sonata Arctica guitarist Jani Liimatainen, Stratovarius singer Timo Kotipelto occasionally tings through Scandinavian clubs as an acoustic duo. Obviously quite successful, because quickly a CD was added, which sold so well at least at the concerts, that now also a label has bitten the dust. What seems to work perfectly on stage in small clubs, however, is nothing more than a gentle breeze on the home venue, a nice gimmick for fans of the two protagonists. Real surprises in the form of unusual arrangements cannot be found here. Instead, Kotipelto solo numbers and knobbly, narrow Stratovarius hits like "Black Diamond", "Hunting High And Low" or "Coming Home" dominate, but also the Sonata Arctica classic "My Selene" is sausaged. The songs are flanked by various cover versions (among others "Behind Blue Eyes" by The Who, Deep Purples "Perfect Strangers" and "Rainbow Eyes" by Rainbow), but all of them don't really want to ignite in this form.
