After the highly acclaimed "Road Of Cobras", which was released in 2010, singer Pete Brown (Pete Brown And Piblokto!, Pete Brown And Graham Bond as well as lyricists to many Cream/Jack Bruce songs) and keyboarder Phil Ryan (Eyes Of Blue, three Man records, including "Be Good To Yourself At Least Once A Day") together with the band Psoulchedelia have released an unusual album. Starting with the Easy-Listening number "No Time Left For Good Times" the musical community moves between Laid-Back-Jazz ("Eva's Blues"), old-fashioned Varietee sounds with brass ("How About It"), ironic rock numbers ("Mothermother"), dark soul ("Nobody Knows") and driving soul rock ("Living In The Sleaz System"). "Perils Of Wisdom" is one of those albums that can be categorized too quickly. However, the charm of this multi-layered music only really becomes apparent after several listening sessions. The CD comes in a high quality Digipak with a booklet with liner notes and the first class lyrics of Brown.
