On their new album, the duo Sankt Otten offers special surprises. Stephan Otten and Oliver Klemm have invited several guests to an electronica Krautrock rendezvous, above all drummer legends Jaki Liebezeit (CAN) and Harald Großkopf (Ash Ra Tempel, Klaus Schulze). The result is nevertheless a typical Sankt-Otten record, only that it transports old electronic Krautrock into modern times even more than its predecessors "Gottes Synthesizer" and "Sequencer Liebe". The introduction "Du hast mich süchtig gemacht" (You have made me addicted) does exactly that: to make me addicted to St. Ottens postmodern Krautrock. The chugging drums of Liebezeit counteract hypnotic sequencing, swelling synth surfaces and Michael-Rother-like fuzz guitar. The title track also poaches in the rhythmically stringent Neu! cosmos. At "Arrived in heaven" you climb up glistening bright keyboard stairs to cloud seven. And in "Even God can only marvel" Cloey Duane Dennis rattles on his Maserati Postrock guitar. With the twelve-minute "Finally a bad person" - like from a film, directly transferred from the afterlife - everyone surpasses himself in the end.

Top-Track: Finally a bad person
