The latest joint work by Jessica Davies and Katherine Blamire needs a bit of a work to get going and doesn't make it easy for the listener to keep up. Very sluggish with a tendency to monotonous repetitions ("We've Seen Birds"; "Eclipse Them All") her fourth studio album begins. However, the fairylike songs immediately cast a spell over the audience, creating a very special, dreamlike and dark melancholic atmosphere. It remains calm for long stretches, but the arrangements become more varied from song to song. First highlight: "Waiting For Something To Begin" with choir movements reminiscent of Enya. Folk elements, apart from the vocals, are hardly still present, the duo has rather discovered their preference for electronic sounds and increasingly uses keyboards. This even goes in the direction of the eighties wave ("Shadow Inversions"; "Want It Forever") and doesn't look bad for the British.
