The idea behind "words of syllables and gold" is interesting. It is not for nothing that she defines her producer Ralph Valenteano as "world pop music", because she is nourished by pop, rock and strong oriental motifs. In their floweriness and mystical romanticism, the German texts are reminiscent of classical poets such as Gibran and Hafiz, but sometimes they fail to walk the tightrope and plunge into kitsch. Valenteano is the artist's name behind which a 49-year-old from Wiesbaden is behind. With this record he has fulfilled a long-awaited dream in his 30-year career as a musician. "Words of syllables and gold" was created in various studios on this planet. Guest musicians were top-class musicians such as Dominic Miller (including Sting), Nick Beggs (including Ellis, Beggs & Howard), Harold Todd (including Lenny Kravitz) and the German top drummer Claus Hessler. Especially in the compositions most strongly influenced by the Arabic culture a wonderful longing atmosphere penetrates. Some others, on the other hand, sound clumsy and interchangeable. The Orient is then far away.
