The Mercury Tree from Portland/Oregon have been doing their own thing since 2004 and show on the follow-up to the 2011 album "Pterodactyls" that they don't like to be restricted in their creativity. The ten new tracks are correspondingly eclectic and, with the exception of subtle tool and King Crimson references, are more oriented towards less well-known rock and prog bands.
