DAVID CROSBY - new studio album "For Free

DAVID CROSBY will release his new studio album "For Free" on July 23. Crosby recorded the album with his son, multi-instrumentalist James Raymond, who also served as producer, as well as a number of musicians who had already supported him on "Sky Trails" (2017), including saxophonist Steve Tavaglione and drummer Steve DiStanislao. Also featured are Michael McDonald, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, and multi-Grammy-winning Americana artist Sarah Jarosz.

The track is based on Crosby's cover version of the Joni Mitchell classic of the same name. "Joni is the greatest living singer-songwriter and 'For Free' is one of her most simple, yet moving songs," explains Crosby, who is joined on the track by Jarosz. "It's one of my favorite songs because I love what it says about the spirit of music that compels us to play."
