YES - Anderson/Wakeman/Rabin Reunion

The first German tour of YES without their exceptional bassist Chris Squire starts in about three months, when new rumours about a band consisting of the former Yes members JON ANDERSON, RICK WAKEMAN and TREVOR RABIN make the rounds. The 62-year-old guitarist Rabin was responsible for the immense success of the band in the eighties: He told Twitter that he had started a new collaboration with singer Jon Anderson and keyboarder Rick Wakeman (pictured with Anderson).

Anderson confirmed this news in a post on his Facebook page that said, "I'll finally be singing with Trevor and Rick as ARW later this year." And continues: "We have written some unique songs together. We feel that it's time to go out together and board the stage... It's all very exciting... and so many more great things to come, a lot of new music on the way." Wakeman has also hinted in this direction on his homepage. There have been plans for a joint band project since 2010, but the three musicians have always focused on other activities.

As a reaction to the rumor about the collaboration, the current Yes keyboardist GEOFF DOWNES wrote in January in a tweed: "The more Yeses, the better :-)". And referring to Anderson's recent cooperation with the French violinist JEAN-LUC PONTY, he added in the same tweed: "Yes, if they get JL Ponty, they can call it 'WARP'"
