Big Ups have the same distortion factor as Big Black and Shellac. Guitarist Joe Galarraga makes the Steve Albini and the sound of the band from Brooklyn, New York City oscillates sovereign between hardcore and punk. Big ups with "body parts" are a bit hesitant at first. But with "Goes Black" it goes then into the full. "Eighteen Hours Of Static", the Big-Ups debut, is bone dry and brings a breath of fresh air into the scene. Compared to the rest of the album, the central song "Wool" seems very relaxed.
