Miriodor swam in the waters of Art Zoyd, Henry Cow and Univers Zero during their more than 30-year band career and is now Canada's most famous avant-garde prog band. On their eighth studio album "Cobra Fakir" the three musicians from Montreal go their own way again, tension guaranteed. The principle of the snake charm is also implemented musically, not only in the hypnotically rolling opener "La roue", but also in the title song, whose lulling beginning is ironically broken by circus sounds and other strange excursions. Other pieces give the impression that Bernard Falaise, Pascal Globensky and Rémi Leclerc have a rather unconventional view of reality. "Paris-Roubaix" (the name of the famous one-day bicycle race) takes a look at the stoic rhythm of the professional cyclist who fights against the inner pig. "Speed-dating sur Mars" gets to the bottom of the extraterrestrial pleasures of getting to know each other, accompanied by all sorts of quirky sounds.
