Folk from Sweden is naturally fairylike. Not so with the six-piece band Väärt with roots in Swedish Lapland. The album title means "An earthquake is coming". Väärt want to shake up against today's compulsion to consume, which despite half-hearted efforts leads to the total exploitation of nature. However, the diversity of cultures and the uniqueness of the northern Swedish homeland, for example, should be preserved, according to Väärt. Musically they put their credo into practice in an exciting way with a prologue of a Swedish poem that calls to inner awakening. "10-Tal" is like a drunken run for an eco-Olympics, unusually violent electric and too modern for dainty folk. "Dansa I Glöden" warns psychedelic organ pregnant against overexploitation of resources. Great variety and driving rhythms, often connected to hypnotic indie and psychedelic rock and folk rock bands like Runrig, present this upright Swedish band. Spiritual ecological revival, painted in large hymnic paintings that get stuck and actually shake.
