Cool rocks "the best band from Brighton" (quote Nick Cave) through their ten space electronic cabinet pieces. Lisa Elle's voice resembles that of Blondie or Kim Wilde, but the musical world of the quartet is, the name suggests it, rather in dark colours and not as pop-art colourful as the aforementioned voice relatives. Mysterious, lascivious, gloomy, here and there with speech singing and always with a bit of theatricality, the songs come across - a mostly exciting listening experience. Only the stylistic device of repetition does not always work. While the title track still creates tension, "Saturn Returns" is a bit monotonous and also "Sevens" doesn't do anything unnecessarily for too long. The concentration on a bass line, a characteristic guitar riff, the casual-dramatic voice ("Wake Up", "Transister", "Wise Blood") plus a sound like recorded live in a cellar vault give some tracks a certain underground charm. More complex is the drone-like piece "The Bravest", which presents the psychedelic side of the band in all its dark fascination.
