Already in the first four minutes Dot Legacy show what they are capable of: shimmering rhythm guitars, punky vocals, heavy Black Sabbath riffs, a high guitar solo, polyphonic vocals, an elegant, immediately recognizable guitar hookline. In the opener "Kennedy" many styles grow together. But even after that, the French do not commit themselves to any genre on their untitled debut. What's nice, "Think Of A Name"? Guitar solos in highspeed and distorted vocals, drums, as powerful as the Cheops pyramid. Speaking of Pyramid: This song features crashing riffs, shrill guitars, rap vocals and a bass solo. It actually works. Or "Days Of The Weak", which starts with shrill guitar noises and screaming vocals to end with an indie rock anthem. Dot Legacy don't compromise. They are fast (at least most of the time). They're tough. But they are also always melodic, like in "Gorilla Train Station", the fruit of a combination of stoner rock and grunge. And the crazy "Rumbera" is a lot of fun.
