Ten years after "...Where Memories Combine..." there is finally a new life sign of the Louisiana Progger by Cea Serin. At first it's a trip to the beginnings of the band history, because right at the beginning there are two early (almost speedy) demo songs "Holy Mother" and "The Illumination Mask", which finally unfold their full progmetal splendour with real drummer and reasonable production. "Ice", on the other hand, is a goose bump cover by the famous Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan that has been rearranged into a piano aria. "The Victim Cult" should have been on "...Where Memories Combine..." already and turns out to be a detail loving progmetal hammer until it bursts. And then this: The 20-minute "What Falls Away" tops almost every longtrack in this genre since eternities and even traces the mood of Fates Warnings "A Pleasant Shade Of Grey". If you were looking for the needle in a haystack, you might notice that Jay Lamm, whose wonderful singing voice is certainly advancing into Ray Alder regions, could have saved himself some nasty passages. But these hardly diminish the overall impression.
