"Lost Patrol", published in 2013, showed Dave Wyndorf in top form. So why a new edition of the self-contained work? The veteran stoner rocker had already announced in several interviews that there would be a follow-up album with unused material and new interpretations. No more and no less is "Milking The Stars". New are the title track and the instrumentals "Let The Circus Burn" and "Goliath Returns", prologue and interlude, which summarize what awaits the listener: more drama, more pathos, more extended psychedelic parts and more 60s vibes, among others produced by Hammond organ and Mellotron. Here and there Wyndorf exaggerates, for example with the very penetratingly used voice distortion in the already exaggerated euphoric "Hellelujah". Most of the songs already known from "Lost Patrol", however, are actually made to shine even more by the 60s polish ("Mindless Ones '68", "The Duke") or even upgraded like "No Paradise For Me", a variant of "Paradise", which is preceded by an extended psychedelic part with recitative.
