Everything new comes into the day sometime. But we're not there yet. The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal is now also over thirty, but there are still some raucous people who let themselves be infected, inspired and fixed by it. Saturn are levering here, in the early eighties, and are going back a few years from here. On their debut you can hear Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Deep Purple and UFO, which clearly defines the direction. "Ascending - Lost In Space" is impetuous, highly motivated and goes straight to the twelve. With "So, You Have Chosen Death" and "Rokktori" the Swedes (of course!) play it safe for now, coming with straightforward hard rockers who sometimes stick a little too closely to their role models. "Over The Influence", on the other hand, is casual for eight minutes. But even with this tendency, Saturn are still in good shape. Like with "Tower Of Terror", which turns out to be the band's internal "Mistreated". All in all, the calculation always works out when the band shifts down several gears and goes to Bluesrockgefilde.
