With former Unitopia members Mark Trueack (voc), Matt Williams (g), Dave Hopgood (dr) and Tim Irrgang (perc), joined by Guy Manning: (g, keys, voc; Manning, The Tangent), Marek Arnold (sax, cla; Toxic Smile, Seven Steps To The Green Door) and Dan Mash (b; The Tangent), musicians who didn't deserve the prog, joined together to celebrate a world music-infected feel-good prog, according to the title of their record: "Fall In Love With The World". The septet is also called UPF, which sounds more catchy, but not so promising. The music of UPF sounds promising. That's probably what vocalist Jon Anderson (Yes) and guitarist Steve Hackett (Genesis) thought, who can be heard on this CD with a total of eight tracks (plus bonus track) with one guest contribution each. Even the hardest prog fan wants to relax from all the crooked beats and rapid tempo and mood changes. Peaceful sound enjoyment instead of frizzing is then an option. UPF brings together uplifting hymns, exciting ethno sounds and symphonic prog in an uncomplicated and sympathetic, yet ambitious way that can be fully enjoyed at any time.
