When David Gilmour states in the last edition of eclipsed that he no longer pursues a career, this is not an attempt to take the wind out of his critics' sails. It's silly and touching his comfortable situation to be able to do what he wants. And so on his new album "Rattle That Lock" the Brit can sound like Pink Floyd and not Pink Floyd at the same time.
