If there's music that creates icicles, it's the crystalline, unapproachable beauty of Hanne Hukkelberg. Nordic beautiful is also the character trait, which you have to admit to her fourth album. Although supernatural beautiful rather applies to it. With all kinds of experimental instruments, which seem to have been borrowed from Radiohead's studio, but for which Kåre Vestrheim from the Jaga Jazzist is mainly responsible, she creates strange worlds far beyond the Arctic Circle. The meandering "Too Good Te Be Good" is a seven-minute song with glockenspiel, weird violins, rumbling drums and Atari sounds that turns into the ultimate glacier song. Madame Hukkelberg seems to throne majestically on this one with her song "My Devils" to fill the rugged, glittering valley below with sound. With the soulful "The Time And I And What We Make" the painstakingly designed icicles finally melt.
