A move, in this case from the Norwegian small town Tromsø to the German metropolis Berlin, doesn't make a band completely new. But even if this has already attracted attention through three different productions, such a resettlement may be the last impulse to rename oneself after all. So the band Washington added a "Mount" to their name and ended at least partly with their catchiness, but they don't have to hide from it. Especially since their album of the same name now offers the quintessence of the three Washington albums "A New Order Rising", "Astral Sky" and "Rouge/Noir" with Radiohead avant-garde, pop-oriented and American folk. And then there are these light and easy melodies and the melancholic, closed voice of singer Rune Simonsen, who also make this album, if not a stroke of genius, at least a pleasant listen through. Modest pop songs like "Lisboa" and "A Good Run" stand in pleasant contrast to the open drama that is expressed in "If Ever" and "Radio Silence".
