With bassist Rex Brown (Pantera, Down) and drummer Vinny Appice (Heaven And Hell, Black Sabbath, Dio) Kill Devil Hill have two very prominent heads with them. Is that why Kill Devil Hill are now a new supergroup? No, they're not. Because with singer Dewey Bragg (Pissing Razors) and guitarist Mark Zavon (Ratt, W.A.S.P., 40 Cycle Hum) two rather lesser known musicians complete the quartet. But Kill Devil Hill are a dark and fat grooving combination of Alice In Chains (vocal harmonies and melodies have Cantrell-/Staley-level), Black Sabbath and Black Label Society and therefore musically absolutely remarkable. A few Pantera elements have also crept in. The acoustically held "Mysterious Ways" marks the other extreme of the band. Kill Devil Hill want to be more than just another project, and you can hear that in the eleven songs. Not all tracks are on the same level as the highlights "Hangman", "Voodoo Doll" "We're All Gonna Die" or the power ballad "Gates Of Hell". Nevertheless, one can be curious about the development of the foursome.
