A publication cycle of three years has only advantages in the case of OSI: Firstly, the anticipation of each new album is immense, and secondly, keyboarder/singer Kevin Moore (ex-Dream-Theater, Chroma Key) and guitarist Jim Matheos (Fates Warning) have enough time to rebuild creative tension. With "Fire Make Thunder", the musical long-distance relationship of the two exceptional introverted artists is already entering its fourth round. And the material of the Prog-Propaganda Ministry has become a very attractive Head-Trip again this time! Progressive Rock, Industrial, Post-Metal, Electronica, Ambient and Psychedelic mate in this tasteful audio artwork, where the rapturous atmosphere of Chroma Key and the riffs of newer Fates Warning are thrown into the balance. Guest singers were completely omitted this time. Moore and Matheos once again trust the precise and powerful drumming of Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree). For Progfans, who get their kicks mainly off the mainstream, "Fire Make Thunder" is again a real delicacy. The best news at the end: Concerts are currently being considered louder than ever in the OSI camp.
