Within just three years, Teodor Tuff's stylistic orientation has completely changed. While the Norwegians on the self-titled debut were still searching for traces in the seventies (tours with Whitesnake and Deep Purple were the logical consequence), now one feels at home with an almost completely new line-up, especially in harder regions. Teodor Tuff present on their second album "Soliloquy" not necessarily insanely original, but nevertheless in the core competent power metal bombast with excellent guitar work and convincing vocals. Some song fragments even remind a little of the US high gloss of the Nickelback brand (e.g. "Delusions Of Grandeur"). As guest musicians the Flitzefinger Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) and Martin Buus (Mercenary) refine the uptempo rammer "Heavenly Manna". The gag with the 23-minute idle track at the end could have been saved.
