Suicide with Announcement - THE JELLY JAM Feedback with Comprehensive Social Criticism

Most fans had the band of singer/guitarist Ty Tabor (Kingʼs X), bassist John Myung (Dream Theater) and drummer Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs) probably not really on screen since their album "2" (2004). Reason: the release of the comeback album "Shall We Descent" (2011) took place in principle under exclusion of the public. "At that time we had no record contract, but we still wanted to make music together and record songs," Tabor looks back.

"We released the album on our own on an online label. However, it was already clear to us before that we would certainly not attract a great deal of attention. Nevertheless, I would do the same in the situation again, because in the end we found and invented each other again. Of course, a band like The Jelly Jam always depends on the schedule of the individual members, and John in particular is quite busy with Dream Theater. But when we get together, we also record like a real band. We live together, write together and record together. Nothing happens over the Internet, we want to feel like a real band."

That The Jelly Jam take their mission seriously can be seen above all in one thing: "This year we will also be playing shows together for the first time. And that's what turns a project into a real band. Whether we will also come to Europe, however, I cannot say at this stage. Of course we are also dependent on possible offers, but it should not be up to us. Here in the states we are concentrating on the northeast, because there you can reach relatively many cities economically."
