One wondered where Peter Gabriel had taken this Scandinavian singing elf from for his orchestra tour. If you listen to this full performance show of the last ten years, it becomes clear that the master has once again had a sure hand. Most of the older songs still fall into the category of Singer-Songwriter-Folk, but even here the extraordinary qualities of the chosen Stockholm artist can be clearly discerned. "Humming One Of Your Songs" with Dylan guitar and artistic string arrangement is exquisite. Again and again goose-pimples generating genius flashes up in the strangely pleading singing and the ethereal arrangements. The duet "Lift Me" with Madrugada is first class. And almost all Artpop tracks on CD 2 after "Don't Give Up" are simply remarkable. The driving "Do You Remember" jumps into the gap between Miriam Makebe, Zap Mama and Paul Simon. The hypnotic longtrack "Worship" is precise to the point, "One" is great piano theatre. And also with "This Voice (2013)" the Brun Gabrielscher and Bushscher are approaching size. "Feeling Good" finally stirs to blatant tears.
