It's all over here. Anything at all. Risen from the remains of The Needles, the Hidden Masters ignite a furious firework of colorful, funny, lively psych songs on their debut "Of This And Other Worlds", all of which could have originated in the late sixties. The trio from Glasgow knows no mercy, rest breaks are consistently denied to the inclined psych-freak. No moments of quiet melancholy. No moments of inner reflection. All songs gallop forward. In major. And with astonishment at all the quirky things in this and other worlds. One swift melody chases the next, gets stuck in the auditory canal and somersaults there. Cheeky beats, oriental passages, shrills from the curiosity cabinet and these enchanting melodies again and again - it's crazy and fun. Organ playing, a cappella singing, finger snaps, shimmering guitar riffs, jumping piano notes, sometimes chansons join in. So there's everything there that's brightly colored. And yet nothing seems exaggerated. The songs work.
