The already ten years lasting musical alliance of the Liverpool Sean Jude, Kevin Murphy and Daniel Cavanagh was extended this time by Cavanagh's anathema colleague Daniel Cardoso, who provides some dramatic moments with percussion and drums ("Oak Machine"). You take your time in the collective, this is only the second release after "Beyond, Beyond" (2006). It just takes time sometimes to create the timeless. Thus the band succeeds in delicately spinning the traditional threads of British Seventies folk rock further, including nature metaphors and a pinch of mysticism, but strongly grounding these spherical elements with eruptive electric guitars and driving drums. The quartet skilfully plays through different possibilities, combining the sometimes almost lovely choirs, which remind of Fairport Convention or Simon & Garfunkel, and the beguiling acoustic guitars with rock parts. "Sunset Hypnos", surely one of the highlights of the album, shows with effective keyboard sounds that Progger hearts are in the folk souls.
