STRFKR (read: Starfucker) can afford to call a song only "Ya Ya Ya" and to deliver only "Ya ya ya/ See it gets higher" as a "message". Because on "Miracle Mile" everything is so loose and flaky that there is no reason to philosophize, let alone despair. With "While I'm Alive" the foursome from Portland sums it up right from the start: You enjoy life and demonstrate it with a lively, slightly trashy, but always cheerful glam pop, which in its essence celebrates the here and now and is therefore completely timeless and could otherwise have been played in the seventies. Kahlil Gibran" commemorates the American-Lebanese artist of the same name who worked at the beginning of the last century. Curious are also the other places, places and events of their musical search, among others "Atlantis" and "Malmö". And then there are the "Last Words": "Dreaming and reliving all I wish I had said...". Whether they will also become famous remains to be seen.
