Six years is a long time. Sometimes, however, they are needed to get ahead in terms of creativity. The people of Little Atlas let themselves drift and waited for them to come and write new music. The result proves them right. The band from Miami never sounded more mature and multi-faceted. Songs rich in melodies between Prog and Artrock serve the neo as well as the retro camp. It gets rocky, but it also likes to be song-serving tricky like in the opener (and samper CD contribution) "Oort". To Steve Katsika's singing the darker (and sometimes more aggressive) pieces seem to be tailor-made for him. His organ reveals more recognition value on "Automatic Day" in any case. With "Twin Of Ares" all fans of tricky power rhythms get their money's worth, whereby a peppy walking bass and an unusual vocal melody set the right counterpoint. Pieces like "Emily True" provide psychedelic accents. And again and again there are also very beguiling acoustic passages like in "At The End Of The Day" (also with a strong guitar solo). Successful rebirth.
